Skin tags

Hello,

I have a few, very small, skin tags on my neck. They aren't big enough to be able to tie and cut off the blood supply too. Is there any other way of getting rid of them as they annoy me?

I mentioned it to the nurse this morning who said I could end up with scars if they're cut off.

I'm 52, so getting these things is a sign of aging 😞.

Your GP should be able to laser them off. When I had skin tags removed about 10 years ago, it was done in the surgery with a local anaesthetic. I have no scars. The skin tags were sent for a biopsy as a precautionary measure, with all tests negative.

GP's won't deal with skin tags anymore. Some salons will deal with them, OP. Can be pricey though.

If you have the money (and want to spend it on this!) look up plasma pen treatment. I had it on some that were on my face and v pleased with the result. It was £400 for as many as the Dr could find and zap in 30 minutes.

Sorry to give out-of-date info 😔 I should have said something as I did wonder whether it's still offered.

I asked the same question here a couple of months ago and somebody suggested tea tree oil. I bought some and dabbed a bit on for 3 days. It (I had only one, on back of my neck) just fell off! 😁 I'd had it for several years and although it was small it was annoying, as occasionally it would be sore. I'd definitely try the tea tree oil 👍

I had one on my jaw, I got it lasered off and it left a really white scar which I think is worst it looked fine initially but a year on it is white so is the other one I had done. My DM got them done all the time, cauterised off, she said the sizzled beautifully and she had no scarring.

I tweezer off small ones. I hate doing it though so generally go for it after a couple of glasses of wine. No scars. I've had one bigger one removed surgically (was concerned it was a dodgy mole). That left a small white mark.

I'll try tea tree oil to start with!

I ordered a product off Amazon called Tag Band. They do really tiny ones, mine fell off in 48 hours. The Cryotag didn’t work for me at all.
