Is anyone here living with a stoma? How has it changed your life?

I have an ileostomy since October, 2023 as my bowel was perforated during a hysterectomy for cancer. I developed sepsis, had emergency surgery and ended up with a stoma. As it was emergency surgery the stoma is not in a very good place - directly under my belly button. I’m waiting to get it repositioned and hopefully things will improve for me then.
