Mildest-tasting sensitive teeth toothpaste

My prescription toothpaste has run out and I can't get any more until my dentist appointment in mid-July, by which time my mouth will be in a lot of pain. But I cannot bear 'normal' minty toothpaste. I tried dh's toothpaste and it felt like my mouth was on fire. Plus, since Covid mint tastes bitter and foul, which makes the experience even worse.

Is there an effective sensitive teeth toothpaste that is not minty? Or is at least much milder, like prescription toothpaste?

Oranurse is unflavoured toothpaste- you could mix it with sensitive toothpaste to dull down the minty taste? You can buy it on Amazon

Oranurse unflavoured toothpaste.

I don't think Oranurse do a toothpaste for sensitive teeth. Though my gums would probably not be bleeding with it as at least I'd be able to brush my teeth.

I couldn't stomach mint toothpaste when pregnant, I used the highest fluoride children's toothpaste in strawberry flavour, not ideal but did the trick at the time. Could you try that?

Dentitex Sensitive Toothpaste - I've only seen it at Aldi, but it's very mild to my and my older son (who has a lot of sensory sensitivities, so we've tried a lot of them), barely mint, slightly salty: https://groceries.aldi.co.uk/en-GB/p-dentitex-sensitive-toothpaste-125ml/4088600192086

Also, Boots has an own brand sensitive mouthwash that I don't taste as minty (if anything, it's kinda fruity) and I've found really helpful when I'm on prescription toothpaste that doesn't cover the sensitivity: https://www.boots.com/Boots-Sensitive-Mouthwash-500ml-10274007

Sensodyne do a child's version which is only very mildly minty

Biomin f toothpaste is expensive but research shows it’s as effective as duraphat. It has a very mild mint flavour

Dilbertian · 28/06/2024 17:39

Thanks! I've just tried Biomin and I can tolerate it.

Superdrug have a coconut toothpaste, not specifically for sensitive teeth but it is an adult level of fluoride.
