Prednisone and Shingles

Hello all,
i have inflammatory arthiritis and waiting to start biological treatment next month. In the mean time i am on pred for a massive flare and this is my 3rd week- currently tapering off it as I’ve been on quite a high dose.
my work colleague has caught shingles, right now she is well enough to work so doesn’t need to stay off due to it. My question is am I still okay to work or do in need to take time off because I got told you effect your immune system?

I don't think you catch shingles, I think it's latent in you if you've had chicken pox but I could be wrong!

I did get it shortly after starting arthritis meds myself but hadn't knowingly come into contact with anyone who had it.

If you're on immunosuppressive drugs you'll be able to get antivirals - you need to get them quickly though.
