DH sats 92

DH has heart failure and a number of other problems. Typically his sats are 95-98, the last few days they've been consistently at 92. When do you act? We usually go off how he is feeling and he feels the same as usual.

He was in hospital last week and his sats kept dipping then, but they didn't seem concerned by it.

I know no one on the internet can answer, it's just so hard to make the call when they are generally unwell anyway.

I don't want to be complacent but we'd be at a&e daily if we acted on everything. It's so hard.

Has he been advised to monitor his sats? If so wasn't he given advice on what to do and when?
I know 92 is low for a healthy person but it may be acceptable for your DH.
I know it's no good ringing 111 because they don't know his history and would just tell you to take him in.

has he tried breathing through his mouth ,deep breaths ?this is what they told me to do when in hospital recently when mine were low ( 92, 90 ),in hospital and it did bring them up.

Thank you, yeah 111 just send us to a&e every time.

I think we need more advice now about what to do and when off his consultant.

Will try the deep breathing thanks
