Armpit lump

DD is 20 and has a lump in her armpit which I’m concerned about.
It’s a hard lump, visible, around the size of a small thumb and it doesn’t seem to move. It doesn’t hurt and there is t a rash or any redness.

DD will book an appointment next week but was wondering if anyone has had the same.

I am concerned that it’s something like lymphoma but I know it’s unlikely.

It’s probably a lymph node, but it does need checking,

Dd also 20 had a lump in her arm pit in March, we kept an eye on it and it disappeared after 10 days however it reappeared in April, she went to the doctor who said it was a sebaceous cyst and would probably keep coming and going, ( she has referred dd to get it taken out) it missed May but has came back this month.

definitely keep an eye on it for a week and if it’s still there go to the doctors,.

I had a lump in my armpit, it turned out I was allergic to anti perspirant deodorant. I now use pitrok which isn't terribly effective but I have no lumps.

Thanks for the replies, it’s reassuring to hear some benign causes.
The lump has been there for a few weeks at least. After her last Covid vaccination DD had a lump in her other armpit for ages but it didn’t feel hard like this one.
