Lymph nodes

I've had a lump on my neck for 1 week now guessing it's a lymph node. However I'm not unwell. My main question is is a lymph node supposed to feel lumpy? Or is supposed to be just 1 smooth lump?

Mine usually feel like squishy rugby balls, and you can have one or multiple.
