Tesco pharmacy - always a pharmacist there?

Is there always a pharmacist available to talk to in Tesco pharmacy, or is that service only available during certain hours?

Only the hours when the pharmacy is open. Also if the pharmacist is on lunch they can’t give out prescriptions.

Pharmacies can't dispense prescriptions unless there is a pharmacist on site, it's illegal. Some pharmacies will close for an hour at some point so the pharmacist can have a lunch break, but they will make you aware of this, there should be one in most times.
They might be busy and unable to see you at that time though.

Thanks. It's open until 9pm and I want to go in the evening ie. outside of normal office hours. It's for advice not a prescription.
