Hi, I was diagnosed with diabetes Insipidus as a child- with no known cause. I was told it’s quite rare to have no known cause for it and am wondering if many people here have it? It’s difficult to find people who understand what it’s like to live with it especially during hot weather. Thanks

My daughter had this and was part of an underlying condition that she had from birth.
Her’s was because she had septo-optic dysplasia
or some hospitals refer to it as Bilateral Optic Nerve Hypoplasia and she had Pituitary Function which was affected
she did struggle in the summer but mainly because she had Autism and she would not drink enough. So we used the fact she liked rules to make sure she drank. She was given a bottle and told by the doctor how much she needed to drink in 1 day

Thanks I’m sorry to hear your daughter also had it. Not easy in hot weather for sure.
