I have a very arthritic-y neck (as shown on MRI) and had some fairly intensive physio a couple of years ago.

There was one particular exercise I was shown which really helped and I need to start doing it again but can't quite remember the finer details so if anyone could remind me, I'd be very grateful!

I lie on my back. I pull my lower jaw in. I keep my shoulders relaxed. Then I lift my head and hold it off the ground as long as I can (not v long at the moment!)

What I can't remember is the position of my head when it's off the ground. Do I flex my neck, like a nod? Or do I jut my head forward? I think it's the former but want to be sure!

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like it could be a deep neck flexor strengthening exercise. Laying on you back do a small nod movement to flatten under your neck and then keep this position as you lift your head just slightly off your pillow. You should feel the muscles in the front of your neck working.
