Root canal

My DH isn't under an NHS dentist and can't find one taking NHS patients so he is having to go private for the time being. He has been given a quote for Root Canal Treatment.

Premolar Tooth £425.00
Zirconium Crown £715.00

Is this expensive or should he look around for other dentists? This dentist is just up the road for us.

Sorry I'm not up-to-date on prices.

BUT the most important factor in selecting someone for a root canal is their expertise. Root canal is tricky and DH will have less pain and a better long-term result with someone skilled and experienced. Good luck.

It sounds about average to me. I was quoted roughly £800 by 2 separate dentists and ended up just having it pulled for £90.

Got quoted £500 for a root canal on my molar tooth & £800 for a zirconia crown so seems pretty good to me!

Ah apparently the zirconia is like the best material to use so probably the most pricey!
