Hi,

I had a temp over the weekend and stomach/lower back pain, thought perhaps a UTI and planned to see someone today. However this morning the pain is more in my stomach like by my ribs, my urine is also very yellow/dark so perhaps it is a UTI? It's still in my back too.

The question is that the last time I rang my GP with a potential urine infection they told me to go to a pharmacy and I'm mildly concerned this is something else like my gallbladder? I've never had problems with it before though so no idea! I should add that it hurts when I press that area and I'm pretty badly bloated.

Any experience or words of wisdom are welcome.

Take a magnesium supplement and buscopan. If symptoms ease it's likely your gallbladder.

However, if pressing on the pain hurts it might be something else. Leaning over the bath and pressing across the top of my abdomen helps ease the pain for me.

Dark urine may indicate kidney stones rather than gallbladder if it's not brown and you're not jaundiced.

Currently having mild movement of Gallstones myself (mild as in I'm not crying and sweating in pain hoping for the Alien to just get it over with already, while waiting on buscopan working) so sympathise fully.
