Horrible bug that isn’t covid

Interested if anyone has had the same. It started with diarrhoea then moved into sore throat and runny nose. Then fever. Onto coughing. But what’s bizarre is after a week back to really upset stomach feeling sick etc. I’ve covid tested three times but all negative. Has anyone had a bug that’s looped back to upset stomach or is it likely this is a second bug that’s hit? Super fed up.

I was in majors all day in a&e with something v similar to this, but with a hell of a lot of vomiting. Been unwell for 10 days now and slowly getting better but v v slowly.

@Inafarawayland there's a worrying amount of shit going around. Whooping cough, ecoli, various other bugs.

@WriterlyMess oh gosh that sounds awful. Glad you are on the mend. @AmelieTaylor i know so much utterly fed up of it. Was actually hoping it would be positive for covid so at least I’d know the cause

Hope you are getting better. Any improvement today? I have similar symptoms too. Started with a sort throat, chesty cough. Running nose later. Loose poo, diarrhoea type. Normal poo in the morning, then go again later. Still feel uncomfortable. Probiotics doesn't seems to help. Cough sometimes come on and off.

@Harmonyrose my upset stomach went on for quite a few days. Not actually too frequent diarrhoea but lost my appetite and was very nauseous too. The coughing also went on for some time. I’m most better now but stomach is still a bit out of it with a bit bloated and gassy at times but on the whole ok. Hope you feel better soon I was getting very fed up as the whole thing lasted well over two weeks.

Oh wow! These are the same symptoms l have, op. Except the order is different. Started 3 days ago with slight bilateral earache, then sore throat, runny nose, sneezing and a dry cough. This afternoon 'the runs' began.
I have inflamation in my joints as well from lupus which gets worse whenever l am not well.
I should have had a covid booter but guessing now isn't the best time.

@VioletladyGrantham that sounds so tough it must be a double whammy from getting ill. Hope you feel better soon. I did three covid tests and all were negative so might not have helped anyway x

@VioletladyGrantham also interesting with the sneezing as had that too. Initially thought it was some allergy but part of the bug

I was going to order some lateral flow tests, but think l will hold out for now.

Thanks all. My cough is better now, brought up a lot of phlegm! Took cough medicine and paracetamol. Well, it has caused my left rib ache, I could feel it when lying down or in certain position.

I feel sorry for my hubby, passed my virus to him.
