Strange arm pain

I was watching a film last night and felt a dull pain start in my wrist. It moved up my arm and steadily got worse over the next couple of hours.
By the time I went to bed it was really painful, the same sort of pain as a severe toothache, iyswim. It was eased slightly if my arm was at a right angle to my body.
My hand also felt numb and was tingling on and off.

It was so bad I had to take Ibuprofen and lie in an awkward position until I finally got to sleep.

This morning it is almost back to normal but my bicep muscle aches in the way muscles do after a severe cramp.

Has anyone any idea what this may have been? Is it something I ought to worry about?

you didnt say what arm it was - just thinking it could be mousitis, you know, too much mouse use?? trapped nerve or something like that. might have been some sort of cramp especially if your arm aching now - sorry cant help more just bumping

It was my right arm, lol at mousitis. My internet was down all weekend so I can't blame that. Unless my muscle seized up from underuse!?

Some sort of trapped nerve? Can happen for no apparant reason sometimes.

My arm hurts today. I couldn't work it out. I realised suddenly it's where I was throwing snowballs yesterday. How unfit am I?!

I had a snowball thrown at me yesterday, but I'm not that delicate, lol.
I guess I'll see if it happens again.
