Water intake?

I don't drink enough water. I'm not particularly thirsty for the most part. I don't dislike it but any routines/habits I've tried to put in place just don't stick.

It's so beneficial for a tons of reasons. Help me get better please. I'd like to start with trying to get 2lt a day. Currently it's probably 2/3 tea or coffee and maybe a can of fizzy juice.

How do you make sure that you get your water intake?

I use a 750 ml protein shaker cup. I try and drink some every time I walk past it and try and drink 3 of those a day. It's a habit that you have to get into. I don't particularly enjoy it if I'm honest but needs must. I do enjoy sparkling water with a dash of lime and will happily drink that. I also like fruit teas. It all adds up.

I've been better today but still not great. Suppose it takes time!

The colour of your urine is a good indicator of hydration. Buy a large water bottle so you can sip on it through the day and measure it. Add lemon slices, cucumber etc to water to make it more appealing. Even hot water with lemon or ginger slices is hydrating.

My urine suggests that I'm optimally hydrated 🤷🏼‍♀️

I definitely wouldn't have said so based on the volume I consume.

I am always well hydrated with great kidney function and never drink plain water. I drink a lot of decaff tea with a very rare can of Pepsi Max (maybe one a month). It is a myth that you need to keep chugging water (as discussed with a consultant last time I was in hospital after bowel surgery). Drink what you like (just keep the fizzy at bay).

I don’t drink anything, just a cup of Nescafé sachet coffee in the morning.
I’m so sobad.
I tried everything, fancy bottles showing how much to drink, colourful bottles, small bottles, large 2 litres bottles, Alexa reminders , phone reminders.
Nothing works for me.
im not thirsty so I don’t drink. My wee is dark and little, go like 2x per day to toilet.
Im 50 and I know this is bad. I just forget drink or don’t need it.
However I can happily drink a glass or two of wine in a go.
