Upper left stomach pain and back

For the past few weeks I've had a mild niggling pain upper left abdomen which is radiating to my back. The pain isn't severe but its bothering me. GP did bloods, nothing unusual and prescribed lansoprazole which isn't doing anything. Has anyone had this? I know I have gallstones, diagnosed accident but they haven't caused me much bother and I thought gallstones pain was on the right so not sure it's that. Anyone had anything similar which didn't turn out to be sinister? I have pretty bad HA

Gallstone pain is more left if I remember correctly. Under the ribs. Definitely sounds like that’s what it is if you know you’ve already got them. Mine were excruciating but the pain always seemed to stop very abruptly. I had my gallbladder out over 20 years ago now.

@Blabla81 thanks but not convinced its gallbladder, it sounds very different to others who have GB attacks.

This is a mild niggling pain on the left going through to my back. I am more gassy and my stomach grumbles a bit more. I thought the lansoprazole would help but it isn't. Not sure if I need to give it more time, I've been on it for 2 weeks now

I had Gastritis diagnosed by endoscopy for the symptoms you are having . Omeprazole 40mg a day for 2-3 wks soon healed my stomach. Hope you get a diagnosis real soon. Take care

Diverticula disease? This can cause the pain you describe and usually on the left. It might not show on a blood test unless you have a full on infection.

@Maidensauntie thank you, that helps to hear. If you dont mind me asking, did you ever have loose stools with your gastritis? I've noticed this since having the pain

Yes I sure did . Felt absolutely awful and totally washed out and anxious . Tho will add I had H -Pylori a few years previous with much the same symptoms which was diagnosed through endoscopy.
