It could be a wart.

charlie19900 · 05/06/2024 19:00

I've got one like that that I got checked and the doctor looked at it for about 3.7 secs and said it was fine. Obviously can't say for sure the same for yours, but given the history of what you've said it does sound like it.

LongSinceGotUpAndGone · 05/06/2024 19:04

Yes, warts can linger for years Sad

I've had several moles much more visible than that for 40 - 50 years 😂 Never had them checked, never been an issue. Honestly, best ignored.

charlie19900 · 05/06/2024 19:22

@BeaRF75 okay thanks you hear so many horror story's I don't really sit in the sun I hate it never used sunbeds but I still worry x

I think she said it was a sort of birth mark

I have a basal cell carcinoma at the moment which is a type of skin cancer.
If you're worried get it checked as the nurse at my doctors 4 years ago told me not to worry it was a sun damage spot!
I've got to see the plastic surgeon due to it being by my nose/eye,I've red hair and never sunbathed in my life and always use sunblock

Oh that's awful! Do you mind me asking what prompted you to get it checked again? Wishing you a speedy recovery x

Nopet · 05/06/2024 21:32

Looks absolutely normal to me . Get it checked out though if it is bothering you.

lovemycbf · 05/06/2024 22:09

@Springadorable
It looked like a spot ,it kept going really itchy and looked almost like a tiny blister and started to bleed/scab over, so I asked GP to look at it and she referred me on the 2 week wait and they took a biopsy which confirmed it.
Luckily it's not a fast spreading one so I'm still waiting for the surgery appointment

Elphame · 05/06/2024 22:19

I have several strange little marks similar to that

The GO labelled them as dermatofibromas and a result of insect bites. I do react ridiculously badly to some bites.

Worth getting it checked out if only for peace of mind

wineoohh · 05/06/2024 22:24

Looks like a dermatofibroma, in which case it's nothing to worry about.
