Head Centile 50-75% - body 2% centile

Hi there,

My almost 7 month old baby (born just over 3 weeks early) has a head size of 43.7cm and is on the 50-75 centile. Her overall body and height is on the 2nd centile. The pediatrian wants to do a CT head scan to check everything is okay.
However she's developing well, very active and coherent, she couldn't feel any swelling either.
I'm really not sure if I should put my LO through sedation and being nil by mouth.
My real question is, isn't a baby's head supposed to be slightly bigger than their bodies anyway? It doesn't look unlikely naturally big, so i'm wondering if this is really needed?
Thank you in advance for any insights you may have.
