Symbicort shortage? Alternatives?

Has anybody had difficulties getting hold of Symbicort 200/6 Turbohaler? Just gone to pick up my repeat and the pharmacist doesn't have any, don't know when they'll have it in again, says it's a supplier problem.

Luckily I have about 10 days left - barring any flare-up.

Your GP should be able to prescribe an alternative. The other brand with the same ingredients (Fostair) is an option and has different devices (a dry powder version, as well as an easyhaler and a normal ventolin shaped one). But they will need to align the dosage.
Or they may prescribe the 100/6 symbicort and you take twice as much.

DuoResp is a direct alternative to Symbicort. I have used both & noticed no difference.

I had a Fostair at one point but didn’t get on with it. Can’t remember which sort, though.
