Strange foot feeling - connected to bunion?

I have a bunion on my right foot (as did my mother and her mother before her) but I’ve developed a new feeling on the same foot and am wondering if they’re connected?

it feels as though I’m standing on something, first of all I thought there was a lump on the insole of my shoe, but there isn’t. Is really uncomfortable especially when I’m bare foot and with no padding. It’s kind of here:

any other bunion girlies have the same?

I have a bunion but I don't get this.
What I do get is excruciating pain as if someone is stabbing a red hot poker down the top of my big toe, especially when wearing new shoes.

It's Morton's Neuroma. Best not to wear completely flat shoes or flip flops/anything you end up gripping toes to keep shoes on. I can recommend Fitflop footwear as something which helps -even their flat shoes like ballet pumps are fine due to the shape of the footbed. Custom innersoles help but can make footwear quite limiting.
