Anyone developed flu like symptoms at 42 and could this be hay fever?

So i’ve been feeling fatigued aching bones for the last 2 month paired with sore throat blocked ears. no fever. Gp gave me a course of antibiotics which didn’t help much.
today as the kids are suffering with hay fever I ended up googling symptoms and aching bones and sore throat and fatigue seems to be included. i’m 42 and have not had this problem before but understand this can develop?
Took loratadine for about 4weeks for itchy eyes but i had been feeling so drowsy with it which i thought Loratadine isn’t supposed to make you , that i stopped. No idon’t feel so drowsy but still tired with achy bones.
What’s the best remedy?

I've had hay fever for 50+ years, and those are not what I would recognise as hay fever symptoms.

If it is hay fever (and it could well be) try a different non-drowsy antihistamine.

If you feel better it was probably hay fever.

or perhaps perimenopause symtoms but wouldn’t explain the sore throat.
The last 6 month i had heart palpitations and just feeling under the weather. Drs haven’t found anything worrying so im trying to look at the smaller things

Get some bloods done - lots of deficiencies can leave you open to nasty bugs. I've got a B12 one (doubled with hyperthyroidism) and I have to sit down after going up or down the stairs I'm so tired. My memory is shot (actually thought I was starting with dementia). Check your ferritin as well as iron and FSH levels.

And yes, palpitations happen with B12 and hyperthryroidism - I'm on low level beta blockers for this while they do more tests to see whether I have Graves. My resting heart rate goes from 70bpm to 133bpm just sitting down watching something at times. Horrible with the anxiety.

Hypothyroidism/iron deficiency/ menopause/vitamin deficiency all far more likely than hay fever for those symptoms.

Start with asking for some bloods.
