My son is 11 years old profoundly deaf and at residential school, he has been having trouble with weeing and has been saying his "willy" is hurting when hes been home, a first urine test came back ok, then last weekend he was grumbling again so they did another test, hes now home for hols and ive had a letter saying they need to redo his test,,, i know its probably nothing but im worrying, our home doctor's surgery is going to do the test and post the results to school docs, i have faxed the letter i got sent home! Any ideas what it maybe?? Worse case scenario etc?

I dunno for definite but it could be a possible urine infection that would usually clear up after a course of antibiotics. Can often cause stinging/burning on passing urine. In the meantime plenty of fluids, cranberry juice is good.Often having protein in the urine on the dipstick can be indicative of infections.HTHIf he gets any worse pain or high temperature that is unresolved would suggest GPs ASAP.

Has he got a tight or inflammed foreskin?

Take him to see your GP as he may need treatment regardless.
