Ear pain and creaking!

I have had pain in both ears on and off for a few weeks now but it’s getting worse.

My right ear is pretty much constantly sore with the occasional stabbing pains. And my left ear gets the stabbing pains less often but it feels like it has water in it and I can hear like a creaking cracking noise.

went to doctor who said my ears looks fine and healthy. So now wtf do i do? Thinking of seeing abother doctor this week because I can’t stand the pain it’s getting me down. Anyone know what could be the reason? I’m assuming if it was an infection she’d have been able to see straight away?

Definitely see another doctor yes, never just accept pain.
Did the first GP actually say anything, or just shrug and send you off?

Odds are high it's some sort of cold/fluish symptoms messing with your eustachian tubes, most ear pains I've ever had were from that sort of thing, so there may not be any actual treatment possible. Decongestants can make it worse (thickens the snot) not better, if you're unlucky. First GP should have explained all this to you.

She asked me if I’m a swimmer, if I’ve had a cold recently and if there’s any hearing loss. I answered no to all of the questions and she said “so what do you think it is?” I said well I was hoping you’d be able to tell me.

She said everything looks okay but my right ear drum looks like it’s bulging a little bit but otherwise healthy. She was a bit stumped and said to try drops just in case. I went to get my prescription but she has prescribed me nose cream instead lol. So I’m thinking of calling my doctor tomorrow and asking to see someone else. But I’m worrying about what it could be because if it was infection or wax, she’d have seen straight away right? It’s all gotten worse over the last few weeks and I’m scared of it carrying on getting worse

I had something very similar a few months ago although I did have significant hearing loss in one ear, unlike you.
It turns out that it was an infection in my middle ear where fluid had gathered behind my ear drum. I had crackling, sharp pain, tinnitus and hearing loss. The doctor prescribed a nasal spray and a balloon type thing (Otovent) to clear the fluid. Both worked a treat. You can get both without prescription.

How did you know you had an infection? Can a middle ear infection by seen with the otoscope? Because apparently all looks clear.

that does sound very similar though, I’m going to call the doctors tomorrow and ask for a same day appointment with a different doctor

The GP told me that the fluid which was making my eardrum look opaque, was caused by an infection. I'd had some ear ache and a bad cough but hadn't been that unwell.
