C125 CEA C199 blood tests

Hi

I have had a few scans , one last Monday, and c125 blood test 3 weeks ago and now they would like a repeat of c125 and also c199 and cea too

this was originally down to heavy periods , scan sept last year showed a few ovarian cysts and fibroids

consultant gynaecologist appointment in 3 weeks,, panicking! Anyone else have similar please

I had a raised C125 this time last year, it was raised further again on a follow up test. I was quickly seen in gynaecology, various tests and all fine. They kept me under gynaecology for a further six months, including follow up blood tests and was discharged after everything okay.

The three weeks wait til your appointment will feel like ages. It’s the worst bit. But my experience is that once you’re in the system, everything speeds up a lot. I had no prior gynaecology issues, but it sounds like you do so it’s great that these will be investigated further. I know it’s scary, but it doesn’t mean worst case scenario. Thank you so much for coming back to me, after a scan if anything was seen do they get you in quicker than 3 weeks? It seems like a very long time?

It seems like once something is flagged up ( ie 125 ) they observe everything until satisfied everything is ok then discharge you?
