Constipation and hypermobility

I wonder if anyone can help. I have been having issues with constipation since November. One day, I just stopped toileting. I have been on laxido sachets since then, as I originally had an impaction high up in my colon. I have had a colonoscopy and biopsies to ensure it was nothing serious; all the tests came back negative. Recently I had a bowel motility test and the results all came back normal. The doctors are all saying its due to what I eat, I don't understand how as I have made a food diary previously and haven't seen any patterns or improvements when ommiting food. I have a sliding hernia (not sure if that relevant) I am not sure where to go from here, I hoped this last consultant I saw might have an answer but that wasn't the case. Has anyone got any experience with this, or do you have any suggestions, as I'm not getting anywhere with doctors and hospitals?

Has it been linked to your hyper mobility?
Constipation is a common symptom of hypermobile EDS.

I've always had constipation but mine got worse in my twenties, I have hypermobile eds so it's a bit hit and miss. Happy for you to DM if you want

There's lots of tips on another thread a few posts away from this one to help constipation. I think you just have to try them all and see what works for you. I have a CTD and tend to get constipated, despite doing all the 'right' things. I usually take senna at night for a few days to get me back moving.
