I’m so worried this is a skin cancer

Hi everyone, I’ve attached an image but im so worried that this is a type of cancerous spot. God forbid. Everywhere I’ve looked and gone to they’ve said Dermatofibroma but I’ve never heard of it before? Pls can anyone help me does it look like that or a type of cancer, thanks !

So who are these people that you've gone to? Is there any reason you don't believe them?

(Yes, it looks like a dermatofibroma. You may never have heard of them but they are pretty common and benign)

I'm not medically trained so obviously you'll need to see a doctor if you are concerned about a skin lesion but I have a few dermatofibromas. They were checked by a dermatologist and they do look very similar to your picture.

I also have a couple of benign dermato-whatsits (what they called them above ^^) and they look like your photo, OP.

It looks like my dermatofibromas too. (Well that's what the dermatologist told me and I believed them!).

It looks like a keloid.

I’ve got one of those. I have an annual check up for skin cancer and my dermatologist has never been concerned about it 😊.

Hi guys thanks for responding I went to the drs to get an official diagnosis and it was a dermatofibroma. I’d shown a few friends who are in the medical field but just wanted to be sure!!

You can't be surer than a doctor telling you what it is. Sounds like health anxiety to me
