I’ve had a fissure for about a month now and have been using scheriproct, some days the pain is better than others but then some days it is a literal pain in the ass and I feel
back to square one.

It not really bleed but today it did. I suffer with ibs so not going to the toilet is not really an option but I do take a sachet of movical and a sachet of fybogel daily.

the gp did give me retogesic? Cream to use but did scare me slightly with the side effects. She said headaches which I knew about but when she said it was the possibility of fainting due to drop in blood pressure it puts me off using it. I suffer with health anxiety as it is and last time I fainted it wasn’t pleasant so I don’t want to go through that again. My blood pressure is on the low side generally anyway.

can anybody advise if they have used this cream what side effects they had.

Hi I'm using rectogesic cream at the moment. It affects people differently. I sometimes get headaches, but not always and they don't last long. I've never felt faint but perhaps eat and drink beforehand and have some water and something sugary nearby just in case, and make sure you're able to stay seated after you apply it. Good luck - fissures are awful, hope it helps.
