Hi,

Does anyone have any idea what this small bump under my eyelid is?

I've had it a year, it hasn't grown, is painless and I can't tell its there unless I touch it.

I did originally have a stye last year in this same eye and then it disappeared and I got this.

Picture makes it look bigger than it is. It's about 4mm in size.

Thank you

It looks like a cyst. They can be removed if causing issues, but the nhs won't do it for cosmetic reasons anymore.

Might be a meibomian cyst. Not a doctor though.

Thank you, doctor looked at it a few months ago and said he didn't know what it was and has passed it to hospital as a suspected chalazion?

Looks like possibly chalazion to me. I've had one removed in the past, however if it's not causing any issues they may leave it. I was advised by the consultant to scrub my eyelids with baby shampoo daily to prevent another. A chalazion is caused by a blocked duct and the baby shampoo scrubbing keeps them clean.

It looks like a chalazion. I've had a couple of these and was advised by my G.P to apply a warm compress as many times a day as l could manage and to massage it. Both times this worked quite quickly, the cyst dispersed and the fluid drained out.
