My dad is generally in bad health. He contracted an infection after an operation and can’t seem to get rid of it. He’s been in hospital for months. The infection seemed to be improving - then he started smoking again (after 12 weeks off) and now it’s getting worse again, infection marker going up. Am I crazy to think the two are linked?? Any advice please I have tried endlessly to get him to stop.
