I'm currently seeing an NHS dermatologist (actually three that work on rotation at my local hospital.) - but I don't feel like I'm making any progress with them. I have
• extensive keratosis pilaris
• skin damage from being inappropriately given steroids to treat a skin problem on my feet (topical steroids?) I can't be sure what the initial problem was due to the damage unfortunately
• random patches of red, itchy, patchy skin on my lower legs (not necessarily a rash but close to it)
• extremely dry skin
Does anybody have recommendations for a good dermatologist? Ideally I need
• someone who will listen to me/the effect my skin problems have had and are continuing to have on my life and not be dismissive
• someone who is willing to work with me and actually attempt to improve my skin (I've been with my current dermatologist for 18 months + with no improvement and the derm. isn't really willing to try make it any better)
I'm located in South Yorkshire and NHS or private recommendations are fine, I just really, really need to get this sorted, it sounds silly, I know, but this has been affecting my life for 12 years ☹️
