If a child has had MMR jab and MMR booster- are they still at risk of catching Measles, mumps or rubella????

My dad has got Mumps- found out on tuesday.

He is supposed to be having Ds2 for the day on sunday as I have to work.

ds2 has had his MMR jab as an infant and had his booster about 6 months ago.

would it be foolish of me to still allow him to go to my dads? or should his immunisations eradicate the risk of catching it? (that is the point of imms isnt it??)

Its not impossible for them to still get mumps even if they have been jabbed.

It just massively reduces the risk.

I think you are probably fine it let him go, but yes there could be a small risk.
