Has anyone else been tested for this? I've had bloods done for ongoing symptoms and abnormal blood results for other issues for around a year now.

No results back, I'm assuming it's one that has to be sent away as it's over a week now and nothing.

I've been good and not googled as I don't really want to know what it's for unless I have to, but have been told results may come from oncology which has got me like

Exh tested positive for JAK2 he has polycythemia vera. Back then he was tested because of high platelets levels. He's taken hydroxyurea (chemo tablet) for more than fifteen years. He has an enlarged spleen and his liver levels are always high. Currently platelets are normal, last blood test they were low, haemoglobin slightly low, last blood test they were very low and white blood cells low again. He's seen by haematology every 8 to 12 weeks usually but 6 weeks just now as his bloods are variable and they are trying to see if adjusting his meds will alter things or whether there is something else happening.

Thank you @hiredandsqueak. My platelets are really high along with other levels being high when they shouldn't be and some other bits being lower than they should.

The fact your exdh is on chemo tablets explains why my call may come from oncology.

OP it's natural to be anxious. Exh's bloods at the moment seem to be a law unto themselves but he has had many years of everything being mostly stable and really the only symptoms have been fatigue and itchiness after a shower.
