Water and headaches

Have had quite sharp headaches for the last 3 days - not constant though.
Coincides with me being on a health drive and drinking lots of water, which is quite cold.
Could the 2 be connected?
Thanks for any advice.

Yes. If you drink too much water, especially if you have increased dramatically. The kidneys can only cope with so much in a certain time and if you go over this it can cause headaches. Interestingly, there is a school of thought that drinking lots of water isn't as healthy as it was once thought.

Thanks Detta,
My headaches definitely coincide with an increase in water drinking - will perhaps cut down a little (I never knew you could drink 'too much water'!).
