Just had the phone call to say ....STEVE IS COMING HOME ON MONDAY !

MB quality of life counts for a lot doesn't it and thats the hardest thing to sit by and watch when there is nothing you can do to rewind life and go back to when life was so good and the future looked rosy.
Steve has had so many losses to deal with throuout this cancer and he has done this with bravery dignity and a firm belief that there is always hope.
Steve was awake for 10 minutes just enough time for me to fill him full of trifle tea and cuddles, i guess this will be our new "normal" for a while.
Debs our Mac nurse will ring tomorrow to see how steve is and to see how things have been going with Steves Mother brother and sister.

You always put other people first, OJ. Your love for Steve shines our of every post you write. It's very humbling to read, and I feel privileged to be a (helpless, silent) part of it; if there was more I could do, I really would.

I hope Steve isn't suffering too much, and that neither are you.

OJ, I too wish you could freeze time just to keep Steve with you. Same for you MB. I know that desperation and the sheer heart brake of watching someone you love very slowly slip away from your grasp. Its very special though that you are still able to find time to share a cuddle. I love the fact that Steve calls you his trifle lady. I hope things calm down with Steve's relatives. You need to be focusing on him, yourself and the kids now. Much love xxx

well he is asleep now he has slept for most of the day, i am hoping we don't have bad rain tonight as he is in the conservatory and the rain is very loud on the roof.

I'm so glad he is at home for you all to have as much awake time with him as he can manage, oj. The teddy story is so sweet - you can still see the real funny Steve in that, can't you

Steve woke up and asked for a roast dinner i gave him trifle instead, he let me give him a few mouthfuls and then fell asleep, i hope he sleeps for a few hours.
