Zopiclone advice

I am going through a separation and struggling with sleep. Had a telephone consultation with GP who prescribed zopiclone 3.75mg for short term use, 1-2 tablets per day.

I read up online and it said sleep apnoea was a contra-indication. I have moderate sleep apnoea (26 episodes per hr) so I checked with the pharmacist who said it’s fine and online often exaggerates effects.

I’ve now read the patient leaflet which says do not take if you have sleep apnoea. I need to heed this right? And check in with GP on Monday?

id feel slightly better if I was using c-pap currently) but tried it last night and had terrible bloating so I can’t use it.

I don’t know sorry but giving your thread a bump.

I’ve been ill for a month and not sleeping well at all. I used nytol otc which did help but I’ve stopped using it now because I can get 4-4.5 hours and I didn’t like the side effects the next day. Good luck.
