Concussion

I had a fall 3 days ago, broke my hand and hit my head - I didn't pass out and i remember it all - i went to a walk in centre and stayed for about 3 hours, they sorted my hand and done observations / neurological checks for my head - then were happy to send me home.

just worried as still have a headache? It's not awful but I just worry if I did need a scan?

Did they give you the head injury leaflet? If you Google the hospital you went to they normally have a head injury leaflet with advice for what happens afterwards

Have you got someone with you just in case?

FWIW I had a horrible head injury and had long lasting post concussion syndrome and I didn't have a scan. I think the skull is fairly strong so they only scan if there are other more concerning symptoms or it was a high speed accident/heavy object etc if you see what I mean

Thank you for replying - yes I got the leaflet, also saw my GP yesterday just to check me over and she isn't concerned that I would need a scan.
just such a worry when it's something like this to happen. Sorry to hear of your accident, how long did your symptoms last if you don't mind me asking?
