Has anyone had this unending sinusy cold?

Mine has gone on for 3 weeks now and I am wondering what the heck to do. Endless streaming nose and just feel so tired and often headachy. Is it just a cold or have I got an infection or something?

Hay fever? Try antihistamines

Covid? I felt like this, tested positive sat and have been off work since. Awful headache and nose pouring like a tap.

Boombatty · 16/05/2024 15:46

Sounds like when I had covid

ApolloGirl · 16/05/2024 15:48

Oh goodness, sorry to hear you've been ill with covid and experienced this too. I haven't tested positive and nobody in my family has had these symptoms so I didn't think it was that. How long did it go on for?

It is constant, rather than intermittent... I thought hayfever was affected by environment and would come and go?

That sounds like my hay fever so far this year. It's been horrible. I tested for COVID I felt so bad. I'm now taking fexofenadine and cetirizine at different points of the day to try to keep on top of it.

serpen · 16/05/2024 15:59

Two weeks or so. No one else has tested positive, DH included. Just me!

ApolloGirl · 16/05/2024 16:00

It sounds awful for hayfever sufferers, I'm sorry to hear it.
When I started feeling ill, I stayed indoors for a couple of days. Wouldn't that stop the hayfever?

My DS is just clearing it now in week 4. For him it has been a streaming head cold.

I didn't get cold symptoms, but I've had two weeks of pain in the small of my back, my hips and my thighs. My time for Parkrun dropped from 33min to 38min 30. and I couldn't run it at all last week.🙁

It's finally gone today. 🙂

Yikes, 4 weeks is terrible. Did either of you test for covid?

Yep, I've had this I'm on week 4 and starting to feel more normal finally. Sinus pain, congestion, a tickly cough and fatigue where my main symptoms, I had to take an afternoon off work and just go to bed when it first started which is totally unlike me! Not covid, just some horrible virus.

ApolloGirl · 16/05/2024 16:45

How unpleasant. Yes I've tried to push through but it hasn't always worked. It's depressing to think it might go on another week or more.

Yes, tested for covid, but negative.

It's pretty unpleasant. Try to rest in the sun this weekend. Get lots of sleep and fluids,
