Has he had a vasectomy? DH has had a lump since his, it's the end of his tube, apparently. At least he's going to the DRs.

GreatAuntieWurly · 03/04/2008 20:18

I fund a small lump at the base of DH's, he went ton doc's who said it was probably a cyst, it has disappeared now!

GreatAuntieWurly · 04/04/2008 23:01

dr wasnt sure what it was so he not has to go for an x-ray at the hospital to work out what it is.

my dh had this last year
he was 49 found a lump on his testes and within 10 mins he ws in the doctors surgery

we saw a specilist the week after who performed a scan and mnipulated it(?) there was absolutely no cuse for concern and even if it hd been its quite a cyrable cncer if caught in time.

apprently once you get over 45 the risk is low and generally testicular cancer is a younger mans cancer.

my dh has now made it his mission to tell every male friend to check themselves and act upon it and hes been surprised by the amount of men who will admit they have lumps and bumps.

heres hoping everything goes alright for your dh

Good that they are taking swift action.

Do try not to panic.

windygalestoday · 04/04/2008 23:14

i worried myself so sick the specilist said he couldnt bear to explain evrything first he wanted to reassure me tht my dh ws ok and the lump has since gone and i did say to the specilist if you were my dh would you hve it removed privately? he replied no not at all im hppy enough to give you my word tody tht yor dhs lump is not a tumour of any kind.

DP had one earlier this year pea size so it was really easy to spot .....it was a cyst and 99.999999999% of the time there are cysts , but even so unitl you have that ok you dont stop worrying, am glad that your DH has sought help quickly.

DP did go for an xray too which confirmed the dr's first instinct that it was a cyst - he just neede the back up of the xray.

Good luck GAW XXX

Dh also has one - a sort of fatty deposit. Not harmful at all and not a problem. I really worried when we found it so I do feel for you but hopefully it'll be like everyone else has said and turn out to be nothing significant. Since DH's "scare" when we have mentioned it to people I have been surprised how many men have had/have similar - they just don't talk about it. Hope all's ok.
