quite severe pain (not joint pain) in leg - what could it be?

For the past 4 days I have had a (slightly increasing) amount of pain on my inner thigh. It is sore to the touch, sore when I move, but not like a strained muscle - more like there is something sticking into it, IYSWIM. There are no visible marks and it is not noticeably red/swollen. I am not aware of having done anything to cause it.

..any ideas?!

DH said make sure that you are sitting with your foot up and move around as little as possible!

Maybe get your Mum to come over and stay this evening, that way you have her there.

OK, so NHSDirect were officially useless - pointed me to GP's out of hours service, who were worse, so now DM has dragged DFather out of bed and they are coming over - one to take me to A&E and the other to stay with the DC.

Off to find lots of change for parking/phones now

Glad you are getting checked out - it really is better off being safe and getting it checked out. Good luck! I'll talk to you in the morning.

Take care. x

any news?

stealthsquiggle · 07/04/2008 10:13

Bleugh. It took until 4am to confirm that it wasn't DVT. Good news, but could have been faster, and I still have no idea what it actually is (in the words of the A&E doctor "I am interested in things that are going to kill you, and this isn't") so I shall go back to ignoring it for a while.

Thanks for all the advice / kicks up backside, anyway!

Glad you went in and was reassured all was not dangerous. Shame they haven't got a clue what it is though.

SlightlyMadSweet · 07/04/2008 21:11

I'm glad you went.

I was worried about you.

I am also glad they ruled out a DVT.
