Inflammation in Caecum found

Hello,

Bear with me please. I have not long had a colonoscopy and good news there was evidence seen of no bowel cancer indication but ‘subtle inflammation in Caecum’ is noted with 6 biopsies taken that could take many weeks to come back.

Do I have anything to worry about: is the Caecum inflammation temporary? Or treatable?

I know my GP wants to repeat a test for IBD in a couple of months. I’m unsure where to go for help as the support groups are more edged toward what to do for procedure but no conditions as such and I would feel not right posting on a bowel forum geared towards cancer so any insight would be gratefully received.

Thanks again.
LM

Some gut inflammation can be temporary due to infection. Some can be due to long term conditions such as IBD. Theres an autoimmune disease section on here under the health heading, or a pretty busy fb page set up by the uk charity that I’ve found helpful in the past. I would say do remember that people tend to post when they are struggling and want advice or support, so please don’t think everyone With IBD is really badly ill all the time. Lots of people will spend long stints in remission, or have relatively mild issues in a flare.

i hope you get some answers soon op.

Thank you. I can get people don’t post until unwell and in need of answers I hope I get somewhere as it has been going on for months and I’m just at the end of my tether with it and all the confusion.

I actually felt some relief taking the prep temporarily which blew my mind but I accept I can’t live on an empty stomach and just terrified am I eating my way into this misery by what I put in my mouth.

I certainly barely ate while I was waiting to find out what was causing my symptoms, so lost a fair bit of weight. Then when I was diagnosed with crohns I spent quite a while trying to figure out what type of food gave me the biggest problems. Things do get easier, though it took me some time to adjust. Sometimes there’s just nothing you can put your finger on that caused an issue.

I hope you can figure your triggers out, and that you get some news soon about what’s causing the problem💐

Thank you. I did post on that group and it provided some help as to why the biopsies got took which my parents were glad I started to see sense. I’ve been put off going back on the GLP1’s weight loss medication and started making a list of the foods that come out whole now and the going so many times a day. I accept just got to be patient for the next 9 weeks. Lord the poor children who have to go through this.

I put a couple of the bowel conditions through a search on the neck and spine support group I’m part of (I thought I’d had really successful surgery last year) and couldn’t believe what greeted me. I just saw a number of people fight these bowel conditions before coming down with cervical myelopathy and it feels I’m reverse.

Then I see posts for fibromyalgia and think is that what I have but thought there was some kind of weird something dropped on toe reaction test.
