Strange cold feeling in head

One day Last week I had a day where I kept getting this strange feeling of cold on my head. I have been having neck pain and tension and put it down to that.

I forgot all about it until this evening where it has started again in the same place. Left hand side of forehead and around my eye.

It's a strange sensation. It feels a bit like when you have breathed in something menthol.

Has anyone else had this? Do I need to see my GP? Slightly freaked out by it.

Hopeful bump.

I'm still getting this strange sensation in my head. It's not constant and has been on and off. Sometimes it dimes and goes for hours, other times it's just randomly here and there then goes.

I've made a gp appointment but it's not for over another week.

I think it's definitely linked to my neck as my neck seems to be crunching and cracking on movement quite a lot and it feels like there is a lot of Tension in my neck at times. I've had a google and it seems to point to nerve pain or trigeminal neuralgia.

I had what the doctor described as 'an episode' a year or two ago. Pain around eyeball and temple. I was given antibiotics but also told to treat dry eyes. Definitely see your GP. The pain did subside after treating my dry eyes but that is an ongoing problem that I have to keep on top off.

This is all down the left side of my skull sometimes in forehead and eye, sometimes in the back of my head.
My scalp can feel tender to touch at times as well.
It's the strangest sensation that's really difficult to even describe. It almost feels a little like brain freeze starting but then it goes off.

I should correct myself it was not an 'episode', it was an attack! It could be a virus but definitely get checked out and consider it to be even more urgent if it is waking you up in the night.
