Socket tender after ten days post extraction

Anyone able to advise?
Fairy simple extraction of an upper pre molar.
The hole is covered and looks good but after about 6 days my whole socket is hurting. Tender gum on side nearest inner lip and all around is aching pretty badly.
I do have fibromyalgia and bruxism which means with the fibre every pain is heightened.
For 4 days after the extraction all felt well.

Thankyou

Oh I did visit my dentist a few days ago who was pleased with the healing. Can one have an infection if it's hurting but it's not a dry socket I'm wondering?

Thanks

I think you need to get back to your dentist asap. Even if only over the phone. For peace of mind if nothing else.

I would get the dentist to double check the extraction site for you just to be sure

My last two extractions I've had I've gone back sure I had a dry socket but only had it one of the times yet the pain felt similar to begin with. Although dry socket left untreated will get very painful. I had lots of antibiotics and in the end ended up breaking the exposed pieces of bone out of my gum myself to get relief from what felt like when I had a wobbly tooth as a child and you twist it it scratches the gum

Thankyou both.

I'll call today. Bit nervous as it's a new private dentist and the extraction was done at an NHS one miles away as an emergency and I can't get there. Praying new dentist will advise.

The new dentist technically isn't responsible iyswim. Hopefully they'll be helpful. I've got terrible health anxiety ATM after bereavement of my mum.

When you said you had dry socket only the one time did you have an infection the second one but no dry socket.
It's now 12 days post extraction and the gum is totally without a hole at all.

I'll have to be brave and approach the new dentist. I had a full new patient check up and scans last week and it went well.
