Could they have saved my sight?

I'm currently having CBT for PTSD in connection with an accident but there's something I need to know to move on.

On my admission after the accident, the hospital failed to find a brain bleed which led to optic nerve atrophy and has cost me most of the sight in what was my good eye. I already had poor vision in the other. The bleed was found on an MRI several weeks later as I was having some strange neuro symptoms and by then the sight loss was already progressing rapidly. Would it have made a difference if they had found the bleed at the time or was the sight loss inevitable?

Does anyone know or could tell me how I can find out, please?

Thank you.

I’m sorry you’ve had such a horrible time of things. I don’t think anyone here could possibly answer your question without access to your medical records. You should raise this with those involved in your care. I have complex health issues and have had to make several formal complaints/ query my care many times. Raise it with the specialists involved directly.
