Sharp pain in one boob

I will call gp as I know everyone can only give their experience generally but does anyone know if I should worry or what could cause it?

I’ve never been someone that gets boob pain during period or ovulation but for the last few weeks I’ve been getting a really sharp stabbing pain just under the nipple area. I just want to post because I’m alone all weekend freaking out - DH working away. He has cancer and I’m always having to keep everything under control emotion wise but I’m worrying here. Does anyone else get sharp pain there?

Obviously you must get it checked, but for me, sharp pain behind my left nipple (only the left!) was the first real sign of peri menopause. Joy.

@Spottedshell I was wondering about that, I’m 41.

I've just been seen for severe pain in one boob. It turned out to be torn chest muscles and it was referred pain in the breast tissue. I now have to wear very constricting bras that don't allow them to move and there's a huge improvement.

I got it randomly in my twenties for no known reason, health is fine. I now get it whilst pregnant 😂 it’s so annoying and apparently normal.
