Dark armpits

Hello
I was wondering if anyone could help calm my crazy mind and let me know if they have any positive stories about this.
I've noticed that my armpits have dark patches in them. Dr Google told me it could be A.Nigricans which is commonly associated with diabetes, PCOS or worse case, stomach/liver cancer. GP appointment is coming up but very recent bloods are all normal (including diabetes blood test) therefore my worry now is it could be cancer.
The skin in not thick, velvety or itchy, it's just dark in colour. So could this still be A.Nigricans? It might be helpful to note I am of South Asian origin therefore I have dark skin. I am 41 so possibly peri.

I don't wax but shave, although I've always shaved and had no issues. This is recent.

Has anyone had this where they don't have any underlying medical condition? I have HA and this is really bringing me down.

Thank you.

Potato slices or potato juice applied to the underarms can help reduce pigmentation due to its natural bleaching properties. Baking Soda: Create a paste using baking soda and water. Gently exfoliate your underarms with this mixture to remove dead skin cells and darkness.

I found the above on Google Flowers

The darkening of the skin doesn't appear to be worrying (again Google!)

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid - absolute game changer .. it's nothing to worry about from what I've read but this will help so much with confidence as it fades

@Jess38 also Peace Out ( Brand name ) dark spot serum is amazing as I've got a few dark marks on my face from the sun and similar heritage to you

@stronglatte thank you, I've ordered some glycolic acid which should arrive tomorrow.
So can thus darkening occur without any underlying health issues? The internet seems to say otherwise which is fueling my HA...

It's a sign of insulin resistance which in turn causes PCOS and diabetes. As an Asian you will be more genetically susceptible to those, however as you recently tested negative for diabetes then I wouldn't worry about it.

@Jess38 it's very common for brown skin to have this without any underlying health issues but obviously worth checking if you had any other symptoms. The glycolic acid is amazing but so is the peace out dark spots serum .. there's a few instagrammers and YouTubers who go through the best products but I'm sticking with these as they have been amazing .
