Sickness bug.. help?!

My son had a sickness bug last weekend.. I now have it.
Yesterday I vomited 2/3 times, ate absolutely nothing all day. Felt so sick and tired. And had diarrhoea 13 times in 24 hours,
I've already been 5 times this morning.. even though I've eaten nothing?! Honesty what on earth can I do. I've never had a sickness bug this bad!!
I've drunk a rehydration sachet (gross) and taken diarrhoea relief this morning. When do I see effects?
Is there anything else I can do? When does this become a medical concern?

You're still within 48hrs of this bug beginning so unless you're showing signs of dehydration it's certainly not a medical concern as of yet. With diarrhea tablets you usually have to take some initially and then further tablet after each additional bowel movements so they can take a while to kick in unfortunately. There's not much else you can do other than rest and ensure you're drinking enough. When my ds was admitted to hospital with dehydration the nurse told me that drinking water makes this worse in a way as it's diluting your salt and sodium levels which are already low so she had him drinking apple juice and blackcurrant juice (after he'd already had an IV fluid drip of course).
