can you deal with the pain for over 2 hours?

what do you mean popped?

claricebeansmum · 02/04/2008 12:45

If you have dislocated it you need to get to A&E asap

misdee · 02/04/2008 12:46

it felt like it popped, hard to explain. i think may have twisted it or soemthing. dont think its dislocated or anything. just agony.

Go to A and E!

nervousal · 02/04/2008 12:46

GO TO A&E - unlikely your GP will be able to deal with a dislocated shoulder - they'll just send you up to A&E anyway.

saralou · 02/04/2008 12:47

if you mean dislocated it's an a&e job!

saralou · 02/04/2008 12:47

are your shoulders even, can you still move your arm?

misdee · 02/04/2008 12:50

can move arms, it hurts but can move them. dh says shoulders look the same. its more like under the shoulderblade than the shoulder. am hoping its not another lot of muscle spasms, i usually get them in my neck, and its similar to that pain. a+e wont be able to do anything if it is, not sure i can take the usual anti-inflamorties, so think i will take some paracetamol and see what gp says.

i get muscle spasms too, very painful!

no ibuprofen for you, but paracetamol is good, gp may give you some stronger codiene based painkiller.

heat patches are quite good too

misdee · 02/04/2008 12:58

dh is out, i have all 3 dd's here with me.

OP posts:
saralou · 02/04/2008 12:59

try to rest it then!

misdee · 02/04/2008 16:22

i went back to bed for a bit with a heat pad resting on my back lo.. woke up and it still feels achey but not that horrible sicky ache it had before. docs said to carry on with heat and paracetamol.
