Oh god, next thursday can't come quick enough

I'm having a blood test to check my thyroid levels, but as it runs in my family I am already pretty certain that mine is currently over active.

My heart is thundering away in my chest, hands shaking and eyes all puffy, which are all the signs that mny mum had. I also have an odd feeling in my throat all the time.

I just cannot calm myself down and it is making me feel so odd.

How long do blood test results normally take to come through afterwards, does anyone know ?? My mum said she thought i might be 2 weeks, but I really hope not.

I had mine tested a few weeks ago and the results were back with my surgery within a week. They'll let you know when they take the bloods how long before you'll get the results but don't imagine you'll have to wait a fortnight.

CON the thundering heartis probably causing anxiety like symptoms which is why u feel like u cant calm yourself down, hope u get it sorted

Yep i think so loopy. My mums was exactly the same, and hers was discovered just as she got to having the puffy eyes so we are pretty similar really.

She said, she used to feel anxious just answering the door or the phone which is exactly how I feel, absolutly anything is making me anxious today.
