TMI - pink fluffy mucuous after a few bouts of diarrhea....

Was sick saturday after a takeaway, so bad I was throwing up bile. Fine since then but today I started getting stomach cramps, really painful, and explosive yellow diarrhea. I just went again and instead of yellow it was lumpy, tissue-y pale pink which has scared the bejesus out of me. I feel fine apart from that, stomach still feels gurgly and like my intestines are vibrating now and then but much better than earlier so I didn't want to cart myself off to A&E.
I'm worried the sickness at the weekend has done me a damage, but now I'm reading it could be an infection. Anyone had anything like this?

If I go again and it's more bloody, I feel bad etc obviously I will head straight there...

i should add, i have suffered from health anxiety which is well managed at the moment and I am really trying hard not to let this incident let it take hold again!
I've now got a bit of cramping again so I'll see what happens when I next go to the loo - I'm shitting myself about what I'll see, excuse the pun!

As this has followed a very upset stomach I would imagine the pink/bloody mucus is probably connected to that. When I had similar, a stool sample showed that I had a Campylobacter infection. It was treated with antibiotics and I was fine soon after.
Try not to panic but do seek medical advice if it doesn’t settle after a day or two,

thank you for this @JulietSierra I think it's unlikely to be linked to the vomiting as there were two days inbetween, but my stomach has been very upset since about 3.30pm this afternoon, so hopefully it's just part of that. I'm just really hoping it doesn't happen again!

It’s just happened again :-/
felt like I passed wind but when I looked in the toilet it was like pale pink fluffy stuff that dissolved into what just looked like pale pink blood.
i think I’m going to see what happens overnight and hope it just sorts itself out and if it doesn’t fall my GP in the morning (I took a picture)it’s not loads and loads of liquid bright red blood (yet, I’m slightly scared every time I need to go now) so it doesn’t seem to be a proper red flag emergency situation as far as I can see online

Quick update as I hate it when people don’t return to threads.
i had no episodes overnight but my stomach was very tender and colon spasm-y
had a small episode this morning that’s very brown mucus-y but no pink thus far. I think I’ll make a telephone appointment with the GP to ask for advice

So far so good. Sticking to toast, banana, rice. Desperate for a coffee but not sure I should risk it.
still got stomach pains but also got a lot of gas so I think that’s what’s causing it and feel dehydrated.
couldnt get through to GP so if t continues I’ll speak to them and update what they say incase anyone has similar

I’m glad it’s settled a bit. I’d avoid the coffee because caffeine will aggravate diarrhoea but stick with the plain food. Hope you’re not feeling too bad.

Thank you! I now seem rather constipated so can’t tell if I’ve got any more pink stuff going on but plan to keep and eye on it.
feeling a lot better today just a bit bloated so that’s something!
