ESD/Ear fullness after using AirPods Pro

ETD not ESD!
A couple of months ago I got AirPods Pro and used them to listen to music on a number of occasions. However, when I used them for a meeting, i.e. talking rather than just listening, I started having problems in that later in the day, after I'd taken them out, I felt like I still had them in.
So now I have fullness/pressure in both ears (one worse than the other). My GP says it's probably Eustachian Tube Disorder and to use a steroid nasal spray for a few weeks and an Otovent. I can manage to make my ears pop (not all the time but sometimes) but wondered if anyone had any advice or similar stories to share. I'm slightly panicking because I'm flying on 1st June.
Just to add that my hearing doesn't seem to be affected and GP said not ear wax. I bought an Ear Popper which doesn't really do anything for me. I haven't tried a decongestant yet as I know you have to be careful to avoid rebound congestion but presumably if you only use it for 2 or 3 days it's ok?
Thanks in advance for any advice/similar stories.
